There are loads of fellas near you. Sail from Gnotuk ave in Aspendale or Williams grove car park in Bonbeach. There are other spots in parkdale, Mentone, Ricketts point etc, but those 2 are the closest to you with a good local crew.

Since you're new, if you want to get your sailing legs a bit quicker than on the choppy bay and feel like a short road trip, head down the coast to my town of Inverloch. There's a load of us down here, great flat water on the inlet with loads of sandbars for rests and safety. Plus when you get better a great starting point for Wavesailing out the entrance and off the surf beach.

Look up our club: Inverloch windsurfing club. We have club equipment for members to borrow and run beginner days during the season. Have fun, hope to see you on the water
