I have a Hellcat 7.7 and its OK. Smaller wind range. I rather my older North Ram 7.8 , it doesn't get backhand heavy in gusts although it is a heavier bulkier feeling sail.
My problem is im a big guy and tend to use the sails overpowered , i find cammed sails hold their shape better.
And the full cammed race sails ( North Warps ) are too much on the sometimes crazy rough water i get in the bay.

I've been confused by the NP wind range guide. V8/Hornet vs Hellcat. The cat uses 0.5m smaller for the same wind range.
Im looking at an 8.2 Hornet to go on my RB.
Check out the Plsning 10/11knots thread as a V8 9.6 was purchased to go with falcon Light Wind. He might have a review soon

@ KA Sails: I can't find your English language page. Been programming since Basic on an Atari 800 so I thought I'd figure this out. Nope.

@ Seabreeze: the new site's editing features suck. Getting the quotes correct is a pain in the arse.

@ Seabreeze again: I'm a little emotional right now.

That all looks nice, but...

Did NP nail the centre of gravity for the bag handle?

No not even close .
But i did notice something strange , inside the boom cutout connected to the sail there is a tiny loop ( about 2cm long ) for something ... what is that ?
The plot thickens ???

I think it may be the camber attachment (to the luff sleeve) so the camber doesn't come off when it's not under load. Makes changing a camber.... entertaining.

I have become used to NP strange camber strings ( complicated ****ty system )
North do it soooo simple and they work fine .
Its not that , its right in the middle of the boom cutout , miles away from the cambers.

This sail doesn't use that old complicated string system . It's new and very simple ,
There is a plastic plate sewn into the sail that the batten slides into , then there are two holes in that plate that the cambers swing on.Solid as a rock, think I like it.

Hey Imax, Have you sailed it yet? Wondering how it compares to the H2.
I have a 7.2 H2 Racing, Love it!
Had to change a camber on it just recently, and that bloody string set-up is a pain in the arse!!! Took about four beers!

Did u break the camber or the little ****ty plastic strung in plastic bit that the batten slides into ?
And was it the batten above the boom end ?

Yep, the one exactly as you mentioned. Must be a weak point!
Anyway, all fixed after I sourced parts from Hong Kong!! (Replaced the whole camber while I was at it.)
One ****ty little part ruined my day! Looked back at the video and it broke on my second run. (Not Happy!)
Still a awesome sail though.

What happens is ...when u uphaul in shallow water or half drop the sail in a turn and the sail falls back in the water the protruding batten hits the ground. All that pressure goes along the batten and pushes on that tiny bit that breaks. It is easier to just replace the little bit.
There should be spares in the sail bag along with a couple little looped strings and sex bolts and the little spanner key thing ( they obviously know about this weak point )
