Talking a 2012 model. Is this possible, or are they only designed for SDM mast?

Any feedback welcomed.

Thanks

they are designed for a sdm , however my rss/5.8 riggs fine on a n/p combat & LOFT 100% with some compromise, what i found is you will need a bit more extension inside the mast and a touch less down haul, the sail rigs flatter in the boom area at normal settings, the cams are a nice fit at the mast but you will find the top cam will protrude past the mast and can damage the luff of your sail, when derigging you will need to manually take the cams off the mast other wise you can break battens
the sail will have a softer feel, e,g depower in heavy gusts, cam rotation is smoother , and easyer water starting in over powered conditions

I put my NP RS Racing 5m on a RDM and worked really well as I was after more de-powering effect.
All worked well and is a lot softer feel so you should have no problems.
As mentioned by keef... as the sleeve of sail effectively is bigger on the RDM then you will need to have more outhaul on but not too much.
I was happy with the result.

Hi Phil. Get on the NP website and ask NP themselves. AJE put me onto it a while ago. The guys at NP are awesome and provide fantastic advice about their own gear

Wow. Sorry to hear that. I received some fantastic advice in response to some mast/sail compatability questions late last year. Was surprised to receive super prompt responses and was so impressed. They have this awesome web feature where you can go back and review your questions and their responses at any time. Weird that it doesn't seem consistent, hey?
