Hi. - Seeking some feedback on Spreckelsville - in particular Friendly Beach - Ray's House.

I'm thinking it may be a good choice because of location and it's wife friendly - beach access, close to shopping, etc. For me windsurf access from accommodation looks perfect.

What I'm not sure of is the sailing conditions at Friendly Beach. On the map it looks like it is beside "Camp One?". I read somewhere there is no windsurfing allowed at Camp One?

Is their wave sailing at Friendly Beach? If Friendly Beach has only free sailing-type conditions I would rather stay at another location?

Thanks for your comments.

I've stayed at the house next door to Rays, great location. I was with a bunch of non-windsurfing families who were a bit apprehensive about staying on the north shore, well they didn't want to leave. Mind you we had a pool and tennis court, something that Rays doesn't have. Nevertheless you really can't go wrong with the location.
The launch is just downwind of camp one, one tack and you're there. If you're going in Maui summer you'll probably only get wind swell but who cares you'll have a great time.
Rent a car from kimosrentacar and you're set

Thanks. I should have mentioned we are going in November. To stay at Rays costs at least $100 more per night so I wasn't sure if the cost was worth it. If I can wave sail from the beach than I'm happy to pay more for the convenience.

Get it while you still can, the beach is shrinking very fast, but the water is still there.
