Hi guys what are your thoughts on adding a 30cm mast extender to a SDM 400 mast, will only be used in flat water on wave and free ride sails, will it significantly change stifness etc, just trying to buy one mast

Should be OK, but if planning to sail in waves, I'd get a RDM

Ok ta, was only looking to use if for foiling on flat water

I do the same on my rdm, but am a lightweight at about 72kg. Works fine, just flexes off before I get overpowered.
My priginal one was just a piece of confuse.

Should be no issue.

It's actually the specs for my severne 5.5. 430 on a 400 RDM. I agree it's great to minimise masts where possible
