Hi guys,
I've sailed a couple of times in the past on big boards but never learnt how to beach or waterstart and now I bought a new board so that I can really learn during the summer. I was planning on going out today and just try to learn how to beachstart and I'm wondering where I should go? I live in Como so Applecross would be close if that's a good beginner spot or is there someplace better? Is anyone going to be out there today if I need any advice?

Cheers,

Tomas

Applecross is perfect if you live in Como, just look for where the other windsurfers aRE.

A friend of mine said that he thought that Pelican Point would be better because it's more shallow, do you guys agree?

Applecross has shallow areas at both ends of the run, but it is deep in the middle. Not sure about Peli Point as I have never sailed there. Apparently the wind is more consistant at Peli, which makes sense. You end up going where you are comfortable and where you know people.

Have a bash at both and make up your own mind.
