I recently took my 19 year old son out windsurfing for his first attempt on a funster. After two days he's gybing and making me look rather amatuerish.
Now Im fitting the footstraps and getting a harness organised (thanks Elmo) so he can get planing.
I now notice he's spending time watching the movement in the trees and advising me of the wind potential, with a greater degree of accuracy than I've managed in the past...not a difficult task.
So after buying a larger sail and some associated gear I think I've created a monster
Really looking forward to seeing him up and running. Think he's got the need for speed.

I guess it's taken a while to convince him that there's more to life than world of warcraft or anime. However, it's in my interest not to antagonise him because he's the only one local who can fix my computer when it stuffs up.

But won't he be at least one size smaller than you??? You can't ride 2 boards at once!

I was thinking more in the lines of a smaller board, not a bigger one.

Wondering if the 125 would'nt suit him. As he progresses he'll obviously want to go down in increments.
Elmo's happily lending the mistral for a freeride tryout.
