I'm looking to replace my Goya gurus 3.7 and 3.4 and was considering getting a 3.5 instead of the two sails since I only use then a few times a year and the gurus have a large sail range. It would be the gap between 4.2 too large, or should I stay with 4.2, 3.7 and 3.4? Thanks!

Err if you only use them a few times a year why update?

Both 3.4 and 3.7 are a bit old, and there is a 3.5 almost unused for a good price nearby. Just wondering if the upgrade made sense.

I go with Fringes: 5.7, 5.0, 4.2, 3.5, 2.8. That has worked fine so far. The 4.2-3.5 gap is no problem. Heck, I have been going 5.0-3.5 just fine. Granted, I'm foiling with these.

For your average bump n jump sailor that size difference is normal. But I've heard wave sailors typically use much smaller size gaps. Are you using them to do wave sailing?

No. Just bump and jump. I would say 1m or 1.5m chop, maybe more.
