It was described as "How embaressment" when someone discovered that the well hidden "Hide Avatar" feature was not working.

After great expense to management, it's now been fixed .. look at the bottom of the main Forum Category page for the links to hide/show avatars.

www.seabreeze.com.au/Forums/default.asp?CAT_ID=4 .. then scoot to the bottom of the page.. you'll find Hide | Show avatar links.

Enjoy!

Can someone tell me. Why would you want to hide avatars? does it make the page load quicker? I don't know why I would want to hide the avatars?????

Thanks Laurie.

Why hide them? So I don't have to see Mark's or Red5's avatars and it loads faster too.

Many thanks Laurie, works fine on Vista and Firefox 2.0.0.14.

Now it won't be so obvious when I'm slacking off at w*rk...

I thought it ment I could use it to block out a particular personality and not have to read their posts,
That would be much more fun

Whats wrong with my avatar ? Just trying to draw attention to the wonderful work done by our surf life savers.

I like Red5's avatar. That is what I do in summer on a really warm day. It feels nice skimming my bottom over the ocean when I am going along fast.

Laurie, how do you set it with your login? Or do you have to set it each time you enter the site?

At even more expense to management, it now remembers the setting between sessions!

Enjoy .. Laurie

Just so long as it remembers different sessions on different computers... home computer would want to see the avatars, while work one not.

Users, gotta love em eh?

Thanks Laurie, it works.

I had to change my cookies settings in Firefox Options to "until they expire" to get the result.
