You see a travel program on the Solomon islands, and its obviously windy on the water, so you stop watching and start googling straight away to find out how to get to the Solomon islands and if there are any rental places there...

Thinking through my next gear purchase at the end of each session while the gear rack in the garage is bursting at the seams, yep possibly addictive

Happens to me every time I watch a series of 'Survivor'
- windsurfing and/or supping,

Sometimes you see in the background a really nice, (empty) peeling wave, or some inviting white caps on turquoise topical water, going completely to waste, while they're all busy arguing about whether to cook the chicken, or keep it in case it finally lays an egg !!

I'm guilty of this exact thing, been watching that show from the beginning. I've often wondered why nobody has at least tried to body surf some of the waves I've seen on that show, or try to fashion a belly or surfboard from something laying around, a primitive alaia perhaps.
There is a lot of boring time, doing nothing by the contestants, on that show that we never see.
