Don't know how many of you guys have seen this, but it's one of my favourite clips on Youtube. I reckon the camera angle is unreal and may inspire a few of you film buffs. Enjoy

With the amount of times I have landed on my back on top of the sail.... it would not bode well for the sail for me to do this. '

But backy mounts are awesome.

Yes it's an awesome angle, I've got an old harness in the shed....I'll get to work on it now????

Here's a tip for all you guys with GoPros, I just worked this out today....If you're sick of the water spots on the lens get yourself one of the dive housings and use that, No more water spots. I used it today and had no problems with water spots or fogging for the whole session, The picture quality remains the same as far as I can tell. I got the idea when I saw the Hero3 with it's flat lens, I'm a bit slow on the up take..

...It works a treat.

Gamer 3rd person viewpoint. Epic position, but not an everyday setup.

How many people are eaten every year by sharks = lots, how many cows are eaten every year by sharks = zip. This guy is on to something.

Anyone any idea how he's made the mounting and attached it to his harness?

^^^The cow is using a k4 harness mount, I have one and it requires you to drill holes through your harness and attach it with the supplies coach bolts. You need to get the fitting very secure to eliminate any excessive wobble or bounce. I did a quick test and works well, I'll post the vid again... I've since made the fitting more secure so the next time I use it it should bounce less??

....Vid to follow.

Here's my quick test....Mine didn't come with a cow suit though, I'll have to ring them and ask where mine is.

1st video - Great stuff!
I got my partner to watch it and I was standing behind him and noticed I was swaying in time with his turns as he was surfing..
Great music and editing to suit!
Jason yours works well too! Boy boards certainly bounce around in chop don't they?

Holy Cow!

What are the specs on that board?

About 4m50s showed a line of sandstone buildings in the background. Reminiscent of Le Tour due adrenaline and historic architecture. Sail says UK, though. Nice. Moo.

The cow video is Steve Thorp - on Moo Custom boards, they did the film last winter over here around the time the Dutchies kept coming over to West Kirby to get 50knots, along with Steve.

As above the harness mount is a K4 Harness mount, although back then it was not released and just an idea he had and was developing. I have one, great bit of kit with excellent design. There is a moulded plate on the back of the harness which bolts through to the inside, then there is a carbon rod, with security rope that goes up through it to attach to the go-pro. At the top of the rod is the 'lock - click' base plate that the go pro brackets attach to. It is best to do these vids on 960 as opposed to full HD as the frame is squarer. On full HD you have to get the setting/angle near perfect to get feet - head in frame, with the 960 frame there is a lot more space for error (read banging your sail while beachstarting.....which is something you need to be aware of, waterstarting you dont have this problem)

I like this guy's set up.
He's done 2 vids and seems to have a really stable mount.
Smooth sailer too.
