I agree, it's a good angle. I would love to see a nice jibe from the view on the port tack (1st video)

No bad at all. A bit of Rainex will sort out the spray problems.
Looks like a 7.4m sail to me, Loft quote a boom length of 216cm.
The clew is almost in shot, so the mount is at least another 5-10cm beyond that.
Good for light wind blasting, not so for wave sails if you still want the board in the shot (i.e. WA ).
5.0 has a boom around 165-170cm so for the same effect, you would need to put the camera 56-61cm behind the clew!
No duck gybes then I'm guessing

Drift and I had a mount like that for the Pit video but we couldn,t get it stable enough to shoot from. Might have to have another look at it as the angle is great. Nice work

It's amazing watching the board and where the water releases(mostly around the front straps)but when he get's into smoother water this disappears
