I am 75 kg my (ezzy) sails are 5.5 4.7 and 4.0 and looking for a small sail for high winds
Should I go for the 3.7 or the 3.4 ?
Is it the gap too small for the 3.7?

P.s Board is 85 l freewave board

If it's 3.4 strong 85 freewave may be an issue.

4.0 / 3.7 ..... a bit jammed but depends on your spot. Is it to cover once in a while conditions?

Conditions could be for a 3.4 too

Last year I tried to be overpower with the 4.0 was impossible and I return after the first ride. watching from the beach the rest if the day...

4.0 to 3.7 sounds very close together, 4.0 to 3.4 seems a big gap. Anything inbetween available? Are they the same sail line, or are you changing brand / model for that small sail?
My sails ranges are 4.2 / 3.7 / 3.3 (with the 3.3 being a different model) and 4.0 / 3.6 / 3.3 (all the same model). That works well for me at 58kg and tiny board. I didn't have the 3.3 until recently, and I already used it heaps!

PS: I've got a windsurf rental business, hence the 2 different sail ranges. Customers can chose the 4 batten or 5 batten range, I use whatever is available!

All of them are ezzy sail

All of them are ezzy sails. The 5.5 is a Zeta and the rest are the "Wave" sails
There is nothing between 3.7 and 3.4 for ezzy "wave" unfortunately

4.0 to 3.4 is a 85% step. Reasonable, ratio like 4,7 to 4.0. Windforce not linear tho. i also keep clew length step in consideration

I already have the 3.4 mast
I know the correct sail range would be 4.7 - 4.2 - 3.7 but now I already have the 4.0 that makes things more complicated

Good for the 3.40. At your weight would not worry to much about 4.0-3.4 if you have nuking conditions on the relative regular.
On quiver sizes; there is no correct, just conventions. Sometimes i long for my 4,5 when having to choose 4,7 or 4,2 :)

I feel that the ezzy sails have a good range depending how you rig them.

I have used ezzy zeta and wave for a long time and i feel the difference the outhaul can make is huge.

So maybe the 3.4 baggy would fill the gap a bit.

But once it's rigged tight as a drum then you sort of need the next size down. Recently got a 3.7 and that is excellent. But I'm foiling now.

Also love the light wind days and have the 5.8 baggy as.

3.7 and 85L freewave for 75kg at 25-30kts you're good just. Over 30 and your board is too big but not the sail. The sail is fine until 35+.

3.4 your board will be too big no matter what unless you're 85-90kg.

4.0 85L you're good from 22-30kts.

You sailing small flat lakes? Then you could get away with smaller fins, low boom and mast track all the way forward but it's just not that much fun.

What range are you looking to cover?

To give you an idea in 35-55 knots, same weight 77L free wave 3.7, I was completely overpowered, needed 3.3 and my board was too big as well.

How new is your 4.0? You want to base a quiver on sais you like and use the most.

The 4.0 - 3.3 sail size will work fine for your weight 3.7 is definitely too close for you're weight. The only thig I would say is the 85ltr is going to feel very big for you weight with anything under 4.0 particularly if you're sailing in open water / coastal conditions.

For reference @95kg I am generally on an 82ltr wave board for 4.2 and smaller.

4.0 is new one year old sail (was thing to take this so I'll not need smaller , but was a mistake ??).

4.0 and definately the smaller are for a few days on the water

Not if it's 3.4 or even solid 3.7. 4.0 is fine.

Was around to 40 knots I ve seen gyus with 3.2 - 3.5 in the water.
I am usually there on my holidays 50% of these days will be 30+ knots definitely

A 3.4 sail would likely need a 340 mast and a boom that goes down to at least 140cm. So depending on what you already have, it might be a hefty investment.

I only get to use my 3.7 sail at my local spot a few times per year, and do not have a need for anything smaller.
Abroad it is a different story, at Pozo I typically only use 3.7, 3.4 and 3.1 sails (rented).

Got the 340 mast and a carbon 140-190 boom. Condition with Pozo are similar

85 l is a really nice board, I understand that 3.4 could be really small for this board but I am afraid than the 3.7 will not make any real difference from my 4.0

I would go for the 3.4 and the board you already have. Just use the smallest fin you got

Just yesterday was on Tarifa with 35 gusting 40knots. 3.0 and 75 litres board, I weight 65kg. Yes, you need to work to keep the board in the water, but it is doable. I have a great time.

If you are happy with the gap from 4.7 down to 4.0, then a 3.7 will indeed feel too close. So yes, just go for the 3.4 and see how that works with your board. You will likely want to have smaller board too in the future, that is just how these things go, one step at a time.

If you're trying to cover a real 40kt day then that board will be too big no matter what - too much volume in the rails to ever jibe it cleanly. Get the 3.4 and buy a cheap used wave board with thinner rails and lots of rocker. The 4.0 wasn't a mistake btw, you can downhaul an Ezzy until it looks like an elephants ear if it's overpowered.

Over here 5.0 - 4.5 - 4.0 - 3.7 - 3.3 and that is the correct sail range for 72 kg ; )

When stepping down from 4.0 usually I can use the 3.3
But it's nice to have the 3.7 when you start with a session and you think the 4.0 is just slightly to big and want to go for a long session.

With the 3.4 you cover a bigger wind range, works fine (not ideal) with 85 liter.

If this make sense?
