Any big footed freestylers out there?

I have sized US 13 feet, not huge, and I just bought new DaKine Primo footstraps direct from Dakine to replace my worn ones. The velcro only overlaps a few cm, and getting the covers over them is a total BEAR.

The covers wear out too easy at the base of the straps because the neoprene is on such stretch from day one. Once worn, the exposed nylon strap and plastic can cause nasty deep footstrap blisters pretty fast.

I have tried Dakine Supremos, MFC, and stock F2, JP, Fanatic footstraps.

Dakine Contours do not get big enough for me for freestyle.

My footstrap goal is this:
"MAX ROWE: Big footstraps is crucial as they allow you to get over the board fully and also prevent injuries. Try moving the bolts closer together so the strap pinches the side of your foot a bit as this makes you feel more attached to the board and will still allow your foot to rotate in the strap."

Most guys I see use contours at biggest settings and they last less than one season.
My Skate has pretty new Contours but is showing cracks near the plastic that holds the screw in. I expect less than 2 months out of Contours. Size 11 but always wear booties so we're actually close in footstrap sizing.

The Dakine Tyrant works great! I use it on my board. Opens up huge if need be, also perfect for booties. I didn't like the Dakine Primo either. Strap never held its position and didn't open up large enough. The tyrant is comfy and holds its shape.

Well hello there, Manuel here, footstrap specialist!

First off wow, life never ceases to amaze me, primos opened all the way and still no booties!

Yes the Tyrant is a large footstrap, I believe it's slightly stretchy, a bit like a kite strap. It's still primo based just more padded and wider. I cannot say whether they are longer but apparently so.

I believe they are stretchier than primos, maybe you can talk to Dakine directly and report.
