It says in the paper this morning cyclone Seroja has 'decimated' the mid west coast.


Made me wonder that if the wind had hit in knots and not km/hr would it have been imperialised rather than decimated ?

Decimated literally means that 10% was destroyed. Is this the case or media hyperbole?
