Hi guys,
i am looking for a new Freestyle Wave Board for medium to strong winds in bump and jump conditions on the sea. I have 75 kg and use sail sizes 4,5-6,2.
i have considered three boards:
starboard kode 95 carbon
fanatic freewave te 95
jp Freestyle Wave 94 pro

has anyone experiences with these boards? Any comments on that?
thanks for your help

my thoughts are a circa 85lt board would be better.

you also don't mention what year. There's been a lot of movement with fsw boards which makes a difference

All good boards. I've used all three. I own a 105 kode, I had a lot of fun on the JP 95 on a Maui trip and the Fanatic 95 at Manawa.

You might want to consider the Tabou 3s+ 96. I am the same weight as you, and picked one up second hand last month. It sails really nice. Turns well on a wave and is very smooth over chop. It fits your sailsizes perfectly.

The 3s+ is with 3 fins and more wave oriented than the standard 3S.

I use the older generation of both JP FSW (pro with thruster option) and Tabou 3S single fin, one size smaller (85/86 litre). I prefer the JP for bump and jump and flat water blasting as it's considerably faster and much easier to control in my setup with double back strap, both in single fin and thruster mode. Not sure about the 3S but the current model JP FSW is quite similar to the older generation shapes (2017).

The Tabou is softer and nice in lighter wind. Haven't sailed it in the waves yet. The JP does well in small waves with single back strap and thruster setup.

I think the Fanatic freewave is more tailored for waves than flat water/b&j, similar to Severne Dyno.

Starboard will feel big, the JP small and the fanatic just right! Most fun JP, most productive Starboard, more versatile fanatic. more tests here: windsurfing.lepicture.com/board-tests/

Starboard most likely to be trash just after the warranty expires.

I've got a 2018 94 JP FSW Pro. It's a great board, but it's not my goto board in strong winds, unless it's very onshore/frontal/ON/OFF etc. I'm your weight.
