Wello was pretty sweet today also - A bit up and down, but sweet tide. I'm glad it looks like Vicy pt was even better

Ahh wind at Wello. __--__----___--_--_-_----_-______ Explains the pattern of wind lol.

I was on my 10m and went from powered perfectly, to underpowered. So that's a sweet 18 knots when I was powered, to about 14/15 knots when I wasn't. Very up-and-down like a typical Wello S'ly/ SSE'ly lol.

remind me to never ever talk wind strength with you again....

i mean the wind at sea level... not 30m in the air...

your talk of 15-18 knots caused me to sulk in the corner while sucking my thumb... i was about to go fetal when a good friend reminded me you are talking kite wind strength...

we only had 8-15 knots at sea level....

Elizabeth being all of 50kg's on a 10m kite means i would have been on a 10m sail (although I probably could have used that at vic pt 6.7 was a little small). It's a pity you didnt get a sail in yesterday justin.

Wind was a bit up and down at Shearwater as well, ON for an hour, off for half an hour, lather, rinse, repeat. About equal numbers of kiters and windsurfers, and a fleet of racing cats tacked through at lunchtime. Never seen so much traffic there! Good to see the wind-loving brothers and sisters enjoying the elements

That last half hour just before the sun went down was great, had an awesome planing run from one end of shearwater right to the other end, chop hopping all the way

Mkseven, Haircut was out and powered at Shearwater, it's a bit closer for him and me than wello.

I meant Gestalt- not enough wind for him so he took pics of us instead.

not quite enough water there for the big fin... i wish there was though.... what a spot...

i will always take the camera with me in future.. think i will try an find myself a slalom board.... have the sails just need the board...

Was at Currumbin pointbreak for a surf (but not windsurf), can't understand you never got into surfing. Lots of fun, but still prefer windsurfing...

that would be McLeay Island in the back of the photos... it was a bit cold too. probably only 22 Deg. we are tlaking brisbane bay islands area.

the photos were taken at high tide. at mid tide there is almost no chop. at low tide it goes glassy but at low tide you got to like a walk to the water and you may lose your fin....

if the wind has been into it for a couple of days there will be 1-2 foot swells coming through.

It certainly isn't the best spot in brissy but i rate it when a Southerly is blowing and you want to go fast on flattish water.

prob the only spot that is very quick in a Sou-Easter. everywhere else gets bumpy.

Yer right oh , i spent some time on Heron island , about This time of the year and got a shock at how strong the sth ers were off the coast ! Yer, it looks as if you got pleanty of room for fanging right up wind and into that pritty look bay in the back ground.
whats the tide movements in that area some areas you could find your self, i would say from what i saw , with some huge walks if you didnt watch it

i think up around hinchinbrook you would be getting about 2.5m tidal difference.

some of the walks further north can require a back pack and compass to find the water

and the difference between Hinchenbrook and Victoria Point is?
