After many years of research I finally managed to buy one this morning in Sydney. It's a Davidson board 1992 I think?
This is going to be my summer project to get this baby back to it's original condition Missing center board and rail mast plus a few dings to fix

Well done it's definitely a Davidson, you have won the lotto big time. This is mine that I got a couple of years ago,needed a bit of work to smooth out some bumps etc. Now I can sail her for 2 hours and dose the leak a single drop.

Was that an attempt to make the most unstable board ever? OMG how's the belly in it! It would be like trying to stand on a log....

All of us old-timers learned to windsurf on logs. My Superlight One was a log.

Upwind in 10 knots or so it's phenomenal, super fast. Yep off the wind can be a bit hairy, they actually reach and plane reasonably well. Downwind is a bit tricky but if you leave the daggerboard down helps a bit

must be pretty good in the chop, I think Exocet and Starboard had more modern versions.

so it is made of plastic, you cannot use fiberglass, how do you fix it ?

I did too but never seen anything with such a round bottom all the way to tail. Gather it's a race board so not ever designed for learners but it would be hard to sail for even experienced sailors surely...?

Yep they are really hard to sail.

Really long waterline and curved bottom makes them really fast in subplaning conditions. Kinda like the D2. But yes, they are really difficult to sail until you get used to them. I have a friend with a D2. In subplaning conditions, nobody can touch him.
