Anyone know a good place to get these without having to sell a kidney?

I'm after M7x28 thread forming screws in either T30 or allen head for duotone

Only duo and starboard use the M7 so it's going to be even harder than finding well-priced M6 (and that's a battle)

you're probably restricted to dealers for those brands. Captain Morg?

Closest I could get is at Surfsail WA here: www.surfsailaustralia.com.au/product/goya-footstrap-stainless-self-tapper-28mm#surf-sail-clothing-hardware. Airbag could be an option for you.

However, the screws are only 12 gauge (5.5mm) x 28mm long. You may have to reduce the diameter of the current footstrap holes to fit and I recall there have been earlier posts on how to do this.

If you are screwing into plastic, make sure the thread is described as PT (Plastic Thread) which is a coarser thread than self tappers.

Starboard used to have a selection of non-standard footstrap screws some years ago, but I couldn't find them on their current site.

Hope this helps.

At higher cost but an exact fit, try these: wssboards.com.au/starboard-screw-m7-x-32-torx/.

And there's the issue.

Standard M6 one that fits 95% of boards - $1.99 at Surf Sail Australia.

Funny M7 nobody asked for - but Fanatic and Starboard decided to use them a few years ago, $6ea at WSS.
Why do brands do this?

A little of topic, but does anyone have any great ideas on how to remove a foot strap screw when the head has broken off?
None of the screw shaft is protruding. Thanks in advance, but I think I'm screwed

You need to drill it then use a screw extractor bit. all not easy but I have done..

other option is if you can scratch away some of the plastics then use pliers to unscrew the bit remaining..

Can you guys let me know where you buy foot strap screws from. My local, surf fx is my go to and I get stuff from surf sail too. is there a fixing supplier that also sells them.

I don't think so. Surely there is a factory somewhere in China producing these for Cobra and the other factories.

Surfsail can probably get these through their network, not sure, but they are your best bet in Australia if your local doesn't have it.

These are a specialty item, not available via your fasteners supplier.
