A little of topic, but does anyone have any great ideas on how to remove a foot strap screw when the head has broken off?
None of the screw shaft is protruding. Thanks in advance, but I think I'm screwed
I suspect I even read it here, but use a soldering iron. You will be able to melt around the screw to expose some of the metal of it, then heat it up using the soldering iron on the screw. Then use a small pair of pliers to grab it and unscrew it.
Thinking about it now, you probably need to expose a bit of the plastic from the footstrap insert, so you may have to dremel out a bit of the glass around the hole. Probably with a grinding bit, not a cutting disc.
