I recently did a trip to New Cal with AirCalin. At the time the baggage limit was 32kg, which they've just changed to 23kg.
I used the FO Rig Roller (
www.flyingobjects.com.au/products/windsurf/rig-roller/) for my kit and a separate bag for my board. My rig bag weighed in at 31kg, with 3 race sails, 2 masts, 1 boom, harness, extension and 2 fins. I threw a towel in and a new fin on the way home and it nudged 33kg, but luckily they turned a blind eye.
I decided to go with the rig roller because I was concerned that I wouldn't be able to use one bag for everything if flying internally (Australia) etc.
Have to say that the roller wheels were fantastic. I used the shoulder strap for my board with the same arm wheeling my suitcase, and the other hand carting the rig roller. Bit of a pain to maneuver around those stupid zig-zagging roped off queues, but all-in-all it was pretty painless.
The quality of the FO bags is great and the wheels held up really well with all that weight. I'm happy with my purchase.
Hope that helps.
