well that worked a lot better than I thought. I had a fin that sat low in the box which annoyed me so today as I was fixing a hole in my wetsuit with aquaseal I thought I'd try something. With fin in the box a put the aquaseal around it to just above the bottom of the board with the idea of cutting it down smooth later. A couple of hours later I go back and the aquaseal has smoothed itself out flush with the board and what's more when I took the fin out it stayed nicely stuck to the fin.
Now have a perfectly fitting fin. I probably wouldn't try it with a fin that had a gap big enough for the aquaseal to run into gluing it into the box but if it's snug it works a treat.
