Looking at buying a fast waveboard single or twin fin.will be using it for genaral blasting in windy choppy conditions.can anyone suggest a board.seeking control

Take a look at the Naish starship 100 ,I've not had one long but really good in small wave love's to jump and amazing top speed when hooked up to a race sail .It's kind of a do anything board.

I agree with Nerdycross. The Starship is an amazing high performance wave, freestyle, bump n jump freeride board. I have the 115L size, and love every minute of it when I'm on the water. Good luck with your choice.

Thanks .the naish starship looks the part for what l want to do.read the reviews ticks all the boxes.they say its a revised board from the old sunset slalom days .

If you want a fast wave board then I'd be looking at a FSW, a pure wave board will not necessarily give you what you're after.

i have a JP Fsw tri fin in the shed. It's a 93L and works well with 4.7 to 6.2m sails. It's fairly loose, great in gybes.

What I really like is that The twinsers give it plenty of grip allowing me to use a 6.2m free race sail with the 21cm supplied fin. So doesn't spin out but remains fun and manoeuvrable.

There is is plenty of choice out there in this category of board.

Yes FSW and if you don't want to buy a new board there are heaps of used boards that will fit that role. My JP FSW 101 is pretty quick with a free race fin and you could also look ar Tabou 3S and Exocet Cross.

Thanks guys & girls.l won't be doing any double forwards on it.had a look at the tabou 3s naish s/ship & exocet all good board for the conditions l sail in.weighing in wet at 95kg a 90 to 100 ltr board would do the job for back n forth sailing .

I have been close to your weight in the past (but a lighter now) and used my 93l jp Fsw happily but I have a preference for lower volume boards. I also have a SB 93L futura when I need some more speed in rough conditions. The bigger you go the more you lose in top end control and manoeuvrability.

some of the Fsw are more wave oriented so slower to plane while others are more free ride rocker. So it depends on how much work u want to do in more marginal winds.
