A really interesting boards - makes bad days good. Glides really well and when the wind picks up has a respectable turn of speed.

I have the Exocet WindSUP 10 and love it too. It windsurf's so well that I just use it for that. I put a 50 cm fin on it which gives it more light wind power and I think more top end too. It really increased my fun days on the water, as I am planing on days that I would be doing nothing on a smaller board.

I had the dagger board sewn shut as I decided I would prefer not to have a dagger board. The board handles great in choppy water, which allows me to go fast even when the conditions are choppy. The only cons of this board are the dagger board, I would prefer they offer a version without it, and as it is a big board it feels big when carrying both the board and the sail in or out of the water.This board changed windsurfing for me.

After owning the 11 8 I'd like to compare - I reckon the 10 would be the perfect size. The 11 8 is great on the water but really a bit less in size would not reduce its flexible nature. With the dagger, it has not worried me - it does not fountain like I have heard others mention. It is a great back up here where the current is so strong sometimes kite-surfers have been know to lose their boards. I have tried a upright race fin 50+ cm. Was great for light weather but tended to generate too much lift and forced the forward section of the board down (moving mast back might solve this and give more speed). I tend to use a slalom fin around 40cm to sail off the wind and then use the dagger if I end up too far downwind. I supp'd it once or twice out of curiosity - goes well but I have dedicated Sup boards anyway.

I am heading out now - I'll be the only one out as the wind is too up and down for many others.

I have a SUP that you can put a base on but it doesn't really plane and no foot straps. I just use it for light wind rig practice.

What wind speed are you in on this video when planing and what size sail are you using?

I have a Fanatic that I used to sail as well - would do well in small waves I think. It would plane like a wave board of old with a fair amount of tail kick. I would say the wind was around 12-16knts - it planes pretty easily, more effective looking for a bump to get the board moving than pumping as it catches anything. I was using a Naish Indy 8.2 In the last part of the clip I was moving faster than all day completely hammering over random directional chop with no fear it might trip up. Here is another clip from a couple of days earlier - pretty much same but wind mostly lighter.
