I'm getting a Dyno 125 and curious for opinions on max single fin size for it.
Its 235x69.5 and recommended single fin size is 38cm.
I have a 38cm and a 44cm mfc liquid on a board that I am selling so I'll keep one fin for the dyno.

185lbs great lakes sailor (fresh water) and fairly back footed (I usually like a bigger fin than stock).
For the single fin I plan to sail it with a 7.5 only and with smaller sails I will sail the stock tri fin setup.

Which fin should I keep 38cm/44cm for the 7.5 and lightwind?
Is the 44cm too much for that board?

Cheers
Joe

I've been using my Dyno 125 with a 38cm Atomic Masterblaster for freeride mode or Patrik p-style 36 for single fin chuckaround. Both work really well for those purposes ( well for me at least). Lots of grip and if anything could go a little smaller with a chuckaround fin. I'd go for the 38 liquid pro if you are going to keep one of the fins you mention. Hope you enjoy the Dyno as much as I have mine. Love it.

I agree - 44 sounds too big. I use a 30cm Maui Ultra Fins ride on my Dyno 105 for 5.7. Clearly a lot smaller set up but I can't imagine a 44cm on a Dyno

If it's any use, I sail a 115 dyno and for single fin set up I use a 36 MFC liquid Pro free ride fin, which goes well. I can use to to a 7.5 with it. So to me, the 38 sounds better.
