Thanks for the post. Most interesting. It is easy to forget how much effort goes into these boards. 40 hours per board plus labour, materials and overheads like facilities. Plus freight. All adds up.

I think this video was posted a while ago.

I may be wrong but as much as there are building custom boards to order.
I can't imagine the same vibe amongst workers starting work talking about talking about their board they just finished and rode yesterday and how well it gybed or was faster upwind or how their lastest wave board could get more vertical on the face
That was my experience building boards or working in Maui during NZ winters
