How the #$$#@ do you access the inside of the mast foot of Neil Pryde MXT o put in a new downhaul? Have pictures, but new users can't post pictures - because that would be too useful.

Took both screws out. Levered, twisted, lubricated, bashed, levered some more, pushed buttons, pushed in silver clip, pushed while twisting, whilst levering..... just can't get the bloody thing apart. It is not frozen or fused - just wont release. Some witchcraft hidden switch.

I'm out of ideas and patience short of selling it on a 3D puzzle solving website as a level 9 puzzle and using the money to just buy another!! I can't be the first person on this planet to have encountered this. Help please.

New rope feeds without removing any parts, a knot prevents it pulling through, feed from pully end and tie the knot
If a piece of the old rope is stuck in there pull it out from the knot end with point nose pliers or sharp screwdriver

There are two different details on the MXT rope feed but the principles are the same on both

Are you asking about the mast-foot lines/ropes by the tenton, or the downhaul line in the extension?
