I know this topic and the mast flexes, Constant curve and flex tip has been discussed before, but do the reflexes work on a X6 80% carbon masts. There s even a chart some where.??
The severne reflex sails do look similar in shape to the Neil Pride racing sails so should be close??????
Has anyone tried this uses this
Thanks

as you "say", mast bend and sails have been discussed MANY times
some people like the unifiber mast charts and some do not
in any case ...

NP has always been known to be the most flexy top mast
Severne , MauiSails and Gaastra used to be the hard tops ...
It seems NP is staying flexy and the hard tops are tending towards CC/constant curve

"will it work" is a tougher question
you can put any mast on any sail
will it work for you and is it ideal is another question

since the Reflex is a cambered sail, i personally would NOT even attempt an NP mast on a Reflex sail !!
because cam rotation will probably be an issue
and bad stress on battens can cause breakage

you decide ...

When you say severne, maui, gastra used to be hard tops ? are they now becoming softer.??
The X6 is the recommended mast for the RS slalom which has 3 cams so im not quite sure on this ??
thanks

yes, MauiSails is officially CC/constant curve since 2014
based on charts, it seems GA and Severne are doing the same

from what i read, the RS:Slalom IS a NP sail
you asked about Severne Reflex sail with 4+ cambers = race sail

Rigged 9.7 r7 on x6, didnt work too bad. Looked similar to the reflexes rigged on slakes.

www.unifiber.net/masts-selector

Don't know what you expect to read , that's different from the other recent threads concerning NP.
