I want to have a 4.7 Blade Pro cut down to a 3.7 for foiling. Does anyone have any thoughts on this. Ie can it be done without compromising the strength or anything else of the sail ?

Strength won't be the problem. luff curve, seam shaping, depth and location of draught, location of twist, roach size and many more will all be all out of kilter, if you cut a sail down so much. It is easier to start from scratch then to cut a little bit off here and there. And 1m difference is HUGE! I have changed luff curves for different masts on the suggestion of proper sail makers. I have changed seam shapes, but we are talking a few mm to a couple of cm differences in the extremes. Not a metre. can I suggest second hand instead?

Thanks mate that's what I thought. Will keep an eye out for something second hand.
