Just got this email in last night which backs up what i was saying in these series of videos, about dealing direct with customers give us the ability to use superior materials for better constructed boards that give you the customer longer trouble free useage of our boards. Also it highlights the tread we started about 6 years ago,of the performance of larger volume waveboards. Just finished the first of the 2017 Hot Rod 132, hopfully i get some video footage over the next few weeks of this 132 Hot Rod. Thanks again for your comments about this video series.
Hi Pete, I have been meaning to send you a message for awhile now, Life just gets so dang busy that I kept forgetting. Anyways you built me this this big 115L Quad fin wave board probably about 5 years ago now. Although it didn’t go that well in the Big Lake waves of my home spot like I hoped it would. (A low pitch wave) Instead I took it to ,and kept it at my home away from home spot Cape Hatteras. That famous wave is very steep, and with the combination of zero wind on the inside, the 115 OES Quad worked perfect there. Soo good in fact it has built up quite a famous history. It was the first Big Liter wave board on the East coast back then. Now pretty much everyone is riding 100L+ Wave boards now after seeing how that board performs. I have used it exclusively in the AWT Hatteras wave comp the last 3 years, were with it I am a 2 time champion in the open/amateur division, and finished runner up once. I also made it to the Pro final last year, beating your boy “Russ” along the way. He is a very nice person, but I am sure you already know that. Plus that board and myself have made it into a couple of Windsurf magazines over the years. Only if that board could talk. Soo yes! you made one pretty awesome stick, and it still looks like the first day I unwrapped it. I just want to say Thank you very much for making this awesome board, and for having an open up enough mind to believe that Big wave boards can Rip, Something I always knew that was possible in my mind. I have been building some of my own surfboards the last couple of years. So I have an idea of how much skilled hard work and the massive amount of time that goes in to building these stupidly fun toys. Please keep up the stoke, and thanks again Pete.
