Hi All

Know a carbon repairer in Sydney? I have some small hair cracks in the head of the x9 boom i bought second hand. Looking also at carbon biker repairers to see if they can do it.

Appreciate if you can point me to someone

I have had issues with an X9 RS:X boom I bought second hand, sounds similar to your boom issues.
I highly reccomend Hunter Boat Repairs in Gateshead, Newcastle. Abit of a drive from Sydney, but they do quality work. They have done two brilliant carbon repairs for me, one boom and a formula board re-deck.
The owner Rob is very friendly and appreciative of our expensive gear. After fixing my boom, he has an idea of what to do. My boom is stronger and stiffer than ever. However, depending on the severity of the cracks, it can be quite expensive to repair.

I went to check out some used gear, including a carbon boom, I remember trying to flex the boom, down where the extension entered the boom, like a bow and felt it give, ended up walking away.

Thank you Antonius, bit of drive indeed. I give them a call to quote. I might try to do it myself. If i stuff up i don't loose anything, Otherwise i win. Sandman, wish i could have done that, but was not near me, otherwise i saved myself a 100 bucks.
