It suddenly occurred to Mark that the 100 knot peak showing on his GPS wouldn't count towards his teams GPS score as it was mostly straight down, and nowhere near the water.

Completely disregarding the intent of this thread buuuttttt: have you guys seen this sport, whatever it is called? They jump out of a plane headfirst, get up enough speed and those wings then have enough lift to make them glide. Then they fold wings up and pop the chute to land. I saw a video where the guy is doing 200kph across the snowy alps in europe for at least a minute.... with nothing but those wings on his back, silently...... then the lands with the chute. farkin awesome!
