Thanks Knotty,
although the yellow boardies will forever be Richies legacy to the caption comp,
the rest of us can continue to make them folklore when appropriate.
(bit like when my Batman pops up from time to time)

These little recurring themes add flavour and help build silly traditions.

So when people ask 'has the caption comp jumped the shark?'....well, maybe it has but it's still better to have it than not to have it. People out there still make me laugh.
10 years on, Seinfeld is still funny ya know.

And it's good that a simple but effective quip like Elmo's, (with no photo shop or talk bubbles) can win. That's the beauty of the CC.
