I dont mean to lecture, but if you have kids that surf the net unsupervised they could do far worse than this.

I am a parent too and I never let my son surf the net on his own. Every now and then he gets a dodgy image and asks about it, I get to play parent and explain what its about etc...

The approach you need to take is rather than sheilding them from the world or trying to change the world around them to make it safer, you need to have conversations and discussions with them to prepare them for a world that thats never going to be perfect. Preparing them for the real world now is the best parenting you can do.
