Hey Shredders,

I just bought this machine that lets me convert VHS movies into digital format. I have a YouTube channel with a playlist of Classic WindSurf Movies.

if you have any windsurf VHS movies & they aren't on YouTube I'd love to digitise them for you. If you can send the VHS to me I'll send them back to you after a few days after I've done the work.

Hey Plainview,

If you have a VHS player (Japanese) with RCA cable outputs then you need this.

www.cablechick.com.au/cables/avencore-component-video-audio-to-hdmi-converter.html

If you have a VHS play with the SCART output (Euro VHS players) then you need this.

www.cablechick.com.au/cables/scart-to-hdmi-converter-usb-powered.html

You'll also need the corresponding cables to plug things in depending on what set up you have.

I digitised a whole bunch about 10 years ago... I'll see what's not already on YouTube and will upload any that are not there... From memory it include a Gaastra promo video, Tiga promo, Several Neil Pryde promos as well as some random crap taped from German TV.

I think it was even before 'influencers' so we had to make up our own minds and do decisions and all sorts of stuff.

Thankfully it was also the time before women had lips like sausages.

Not only did we survive but we made is so cushy for the sooks that followed. The me generation came along and assumed it was always that easy and that someone invented the computer for them.

I can't quite recall what they invented for themselves, but surely there will be something? Selfies? Nah, they were already around... so nothing?

I've only got 're tuned best of the pwa 1996', a giveaway from Boards mag in the UK. But I just found it here
so sorry can't contribute, but very happy to see Rigmarole on your list, it was probably my 1st exposure to windsurfing on the TV.

What did I invent? I invented the computer. Look it up on your ipad. (I didn't invent that one though as it was just an evolution of ideas)

I also invented news groups and the internet.

Summers a Breeze by Ray Schwartz starring Josh Adams and Dave Sheen and others. Used to be on you tube but got taken down with lots of other films including Dave Ezzy's North tuning video from 1989 with Dave Kalama and Dave Sheen.

I would suggest contact these people if you want a copy, it cost a lot to make and it is a great work, respect the creators and their rights in the artistic work:

Anyway here is an excerpt including the great Josh Adams (KA 8)....a truly fantastic sailor, kind of Australia's Mark Angulo, although a different temperament. He is riding MD boards. Someone who knows, said he painted his Neil Pryde sails as he did not like the colours, much to the annoyance of the sail sponsor:

Josh was probably the best port tack sailor at Long Reef (NE wind) back in the day. Fast, smooth and went hard. Still see him occasionally but unfortunately he got caught up in the wrong stuff.
