Hey there,

My North Sails Pinlock XT 42 mast extension no longer connects to the mast base, seems the spring in the button has worn out, unscrewed everything and still can't seem to access it, anyone got any experience or ideas on how to sort out this one?

Dont really wont to buy a new one as they cost an arm and a leg!

Try to remove the button directly. I think it is just clip in (clips are either on the sides or top/bottom of the button itself). You should be able to do that with a very thin screwdriver. Then you'll be able to access the spring. It should pop out with very little force (read don't break it ).

If so, I may be able to help you out if you needs spare parts.

Unfortunately I'm not in VIC Bondalucci but thank you for the offer, I might try the local windsurf shop Board Crazy.
