Amazing how a imaginary line between SA and Vic can affect the wind.

What is causing that ?. Do different state offices tweak the parameters of the same model ?. Or are they each adjusting the model output in different ways ?

This is why I don't use METeye anyway. I prefer ACCESS model.

The Gov. are controlling the wind to stop Covid blowing over the border.
Its all political, so the Vic gov. cans say they are doing more than SA or NSW by slowing the wind speed to stop CV spreading as quick.
Basic science guys.

More basic science...
All those people wearing masks reduces the pressure differential in the lower atmosphere which is why the winds are lighter. Lockdowns keep more people indoors which lowers the ambient temperature outdoors thus reducing the the chances of a seabreeze being generated in the afternoon.
