Boom tail rubber caps

Is it the end of the world when the rubber cap on the end of a carbon boom tail gets stuck inside the boom arm, meaning the tail end is no longer capped? Does the boom take on lots more water or does it not make much difference? Any hot tips to get the caps back out? Cheers

Hi Mate remove the cap on the other side and use compressed air to blow it out cheers Rich

Wrap tape around the adjustment holes to stop the air escaping

Its in the boom not the tail end right?
Need stiff wire like piano wire bent into a tiny hook to push past it, quarter turn then pull it out. Not worth it unless you have nothing else to do all day

I use a sail batten with a corkscrew taped onto the flexi end. Works a treat.
