Yes, I'm very technical. I was just wondering if anyone knows if its possible to replace the lever for the boom clamp?

You know, this thingy :)
Or am I looking at a whole new mechanism? (or boom )

Thanks guys!

yes you can,

you could find a "lever" from another boom brand that fits, I fitted a prolimit one on an al360 with just a little grinding

Is that from a NP X3 / X6? They all split as it is hard plastic and corrosion makes the cleat swell, thus cracking it.
NP knew about it and replaced heaps so a NP dealer should be able to hook you up.

I doubt the lever form any other brand would fit.

Thanks for all the replies!
Tardy, yup, plenty of tools, thanks ;)
Mark, yes, x6, and that is exactly what has happened.
This is good to know, I will have a hunt around. Anyone know of anyone with broken booms?
Thanks all

Bad luck. I have a North boom end in the bin at the moment. Probably won't fit.

Anyone had any experience with Simmer Whiteline clamp wear on pivot, haven't pulled mine apart yet but assume the hole is elongating.

^^^ that is the same front end as many other booms, all from the same factory, and never heard of it wearing and becoming loose. I used one for 4 seasons and it was still tight

Had the same thing happen to me on the weekend. Anyone know where I might find a new lever in Brisbane area?
Thanks.

No eyed deer for Brisbane, but my closest shop (we can't say names here can we?) sorted it easily for $20 :) pretty happy with that. Back on the water today for a lovely time!

Thanks Gents. I will check out Board Crazy later in the week. $20 sounds good. Plenty of life left in the boom, would be a shame to scrap it prematurely.
