The teeth in my boom end that grips the rope has disappeared. I had ideas of buying a new boom end and replacing the current one but I can't seem to find them for sale anywhere. I was also looking at a boom cleat that racers attach to the boom to make the outhaul adjustable. Maybe that would do the job.

Any ideas would be helpful. I don't want to buy a new boom for the sake of this very small problem.

Post a photo & someone might be able to help.

I have a bag of standard cleats that fit many tail fittings & head clamps.

Depending on the brand, you may be able to replace just the cleat. For example, MauiSails sells cleat assemblies for both their slalom and wave booms.
