Some pissed bogans tried a river crossing at Southport - onkaparinga river mouth.

A no vehicle beach - think we'll change the name to Pajeros - or Bogan reef!

What happened there? Their car got bogged at low tide and they couldn't get it out before the tide rose?

From the news reports -
He didn't want to get wet crossing the river to go fishing, with his lad - thought the council beach pass allowed him to go on any beach (permit is for Aldinga and Moana beaches any numnut knows you aint allowed on this beach) he was crossing a tidal river - done for DUI - 4 times over the legal limit - got arrested straight after - they dragged it out with a caterpillar grader or something.

Ten years ago, an old drunk guy was blocking a boat ramp I wanted to use. He had parked his rusted van in the middle of the ramp. There was no way to get around him. Three metre wall one side, drop off the other. When we walked over, we discovered he had a flat battery and was extremely drunk. To start his car, his wanted to roll start it down the ramp. I asked him to hold off until we could figure something out. Nupe, he wanted to do it now. He rolled his car before putting it in gear.. we heard the KKRRR KRRRRR of gears as he slide into the drink. I stook my head and walked away. We jumped in car and drove to another ramp.
