Is this board flexing or just an illusion?

Boards flex but I think in this case it is not flexing. It it was flexing that much the ride would be a lot smoother. Which is why plastic boards tend to be more comfortable in high wind choppy situations.

How come I get a bright green screen when I try to watch this?

I think this is an illusion caused by the way the image is stored from the camera. When it captures another scan line the image has already moved a bit.

Having said that, I think modern boards do flex, just not that much.

I have been surprised at how stiff and unflexing high carbon content boards are. I have ridden two high carbon boards that are too stiff for my liking and the normal construction feels better. It the boards don't flex at all, I don't think I would feel the difference.
