Da Claw ~ 0 out of 10
Just changing it up a bit, the worst things.
Da Claw was a Velcro wrist strap that held a plastic 'U' shaped thing that was held in your palm to elevate wrist/arm strain while windsurfing, it led to some great over the handle bars slam dunks. It didn't last too long on the market.

Yup, I believe broken Al masts were recycled into surgical scalpels.

By the way, I'll be betting the difference in conductivity between carbon fibre and aluminium is not significant. Especially in a thunderstorm, Mr Franklin.

Downhauls that use pulleys, instead of a combined downhaul/rope uni with a special knot you could never remember (ah the old Bombora) : 8/10
