I've successfully used both Ego and Smart Send in the past.

I've used Ego many times for sails and boards.I haven't had any issues.
I go depot to depot to avoid excess handling. I pack them so they should survive being dropped or thrown and mark them as ' Fragile'.
Hope for the best prepare for the worst..I'd do that with any freight company.

I use transdirect, I've had nothing but problems with EGO, times have been 50% quicker also

I had to box up race board boom sail mast and keels on wheels were good, just have to wait till they are going past. Bris to Hobart was hard to get anyone else interested.

I used "Truck it" twice recently. Kind of like Uber for freight. Multiple providers bid for your job.
