Nebbian, can you explain what you mean by this? I understand what we would normally consider to be windshear in the verticle direction (wrt. to sailing). But I'm not sure I understand what you appear to be saying here, aka "when sailing downwind, you get more windshear". AFAIKnew, twist has very little to do with windshear, but mostly only to do with leverage-control.
Nbr, most have said "more downhaul", but it is possible to over-downhaul the sail too -> it will make the sail feel gutless.
