Picked up a retro mistrial screamer, anyone know what's needed to work off this base slot? Looks similar to the fork in a 2 pin base.

I would take the box out . Take an end off . Take the sliding middle part out . Make a thick plate of brass that slides in its place and drill and tap an M8 thread in the middle . That way you can use standard bases .
You may need a couple of the big disk spacers under your base if the screw is too long.

Cancel the project, spend the few hours of time saved working at McDonald's, buy a cheap modern board for $200.

can't you just screw a normal mast base in to the hole at the back of the sliding car, pretty sure I can do that on my Mistral OD

But if the ropes broken the car will slide back and forth .

So everyone knows there is no rope in the Screamer car on this model: see the grooves on the track which holds the base in place.Needs a thorough rinse and dry then a silicone lubricant spray and then it should move fine..just need to depress the steel button.....should also lock in place at each groove point and be no or nil movement. I have a Stinger CGI (same year as this Screamer) with this system too. The rope shown actually is a safety leash.

I think the 1991 LCS Screamer(earlier year) which I also have has the same system as the Equipe and One design. I think if you have the rope system then if necessary (not always the case) then if needs fixing, then, best to take it apart and reassemble it which makes it work again. There are videos on how to do this on the wind power website but they are not relevant for the board pictured. Take loads of photos as you disassemble it incase you can't remember how to put it back together. I have done it on the 1983-88 track...

Never tried that method- which bases work on the back hole...? Are they any that do or don't ? For example I am sure a Chinook base doesn't work unless it has a screw in base and I don't have one of those latter.
