Had a great day on Sunday at Point Henry Geelong with a few spills - see Vic forum. however when I got off the water noticed that my Aqua Pac was full of water. Lucky for me I had the GPS in a plastic bag and at this stage no damage evident. I have a soft pack and have discovered a small pin hole in the clear panel on the front. Has anyone tried repairing this? Silicon, melting? or is it chuck away and get another?

What about a sticker on each side of the hole? Sail repair tape?

Silicone is no good... I've had some success with SupaGlue - the trick with SG is to only use a small amount -> you cant squeeze excess like you would any other glue.

By *some*, more like just barely, but watertight. Once the glue dries, fill it with water to make sure no other holes exist.

Edit: I have also tried "welding" using a soldering iron - but no dice.

Old salty, it must have been the blistering pace which melted the seal!

Mine just slowly fell apart over the course of a year. Lost my car keys and destroyed my so called waterproof gps. I suggest replace it for piece of mind.

I repaired one with the clear sticker method. Held well then the seam went.
I replaced it with a paqua midi $30 and so far have been more than satisfied.

You're not meant to wear them diving
I just put grey plumbers tape over holes although it can be difficult to read display depending on location. Sometimes I will fill Pacqua / aquapac up with water and see if there's any leaks (cleans out any residual salt as well)
