Russ,

Where did the Sellicks crowd go? I was on a weekend piss-up on The Esplanade but didn't see anybody out all weekend, although it was onshore rather than the usual cross-off.

Cheers

yep, wind was a bit fickle, but some guys pushed out some good times.

Kym and I arrived on Thursday arvo, no sailing on Friday but Saturday was good, Sunday was marginal (12-15 knots)

I think Sam clocked a 30.4 and Chris D a 30.3, Carl was also amongst it.

We were well entertained on Saturday evening with the local 'crusty demons' putting on a show on the 300 metre wide and 7km long dry lake edge in front of us, three motorbikes and one souped up nissan patrol doing donuts and wheelies in front of us, only one stack. 100 kmph passes no helmet, thongs and feet behind their ears, givung girlfriends joyrides on the fuel tanks while doing ringies, again no helmets and thongs.

Carl found out that you need to take the shells off pistachios before eating them....was heard to say...'I thought they would be more tasty'

Sam took to his Gaastra with a cockle shell

photos to follow!!

Was a bit light all round down our way - no one usually hits it unless it's a good soueaster or sometimes a southerly - I sailed Seacliff sunday but that was disappointing - sounds like the pissup on the Esplanade or watching the antics on the lake at Beachport was the better option!

Aw, Divaldo, EVERYONE knows pistachios taste better with the shells on cos you can suck em.

Sounds like we chose the GOOD option......Even if I did come last. I have never done such LOOOOOONG runs in my life.

I thought I came last! I think my best was a 23.3 Saturday arvo.

What was your best run Susie?

Also special mention goes to Tim, or as he is now known 'the forest gump of windsurfing' for sailing until dark on Saturday night (while missing the motorbike show mind you) , sailed for 101 nautical miles Saturday afternoon alone!

A rainmanesque effort if ever there was one!

He does have a very sexy trailer though!

Careful, Laurie'll kick us off, we in the wrong forum now! I came LAST I tell ya. There should be a booby prize. They had booby prizes in Austria in the skiing races. I missed out by one - I came 2nd to last, but I made it through all the way, it was a downhill, I was just happy I got through.
Sorry, off topic. 21.9 on Sunday in the 12-15 knots on a six. I came LAST.
