For Laurie to create an LT forum so their adherents can play in their own sandpit without annoying the rest of us.

Summer is the season for plenty of sightings mate. Apparently a 3m munchie was seen feeding along our lil dragstrip area here at GB recently. Broad daylight n crystal clear water. Chomp chomp.

Fun fact: Xmas has a long history. The X is an abbreviation for Christos in Greek - the X standing in for the Greek letter chi

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xmas

"There is a common misconception that the word Xmas stems from a secular attempt to remove the religious tradition from Christmas[3] by taking the "Christ" out of "Christmas", but its use dates back to the 16th century. "

I thought for the longest time that it was just an clumsy attempt at brevity.

what do aussies call a garage ?... a shed... it has less syllables. "How are you going today? ".... "Garn?"

Fun fact no 2... it is easier to type xmas than Christmas.... there is no conspiracy here.

Come and sail up this way for a few days after you've settled in to Bribie. You will no longer fear sharks if you spot one of our special prehistoric lizards while out on the water

If I can't have wind for Xmas I'd settle for time off work to join Harty on his 2020 Mauritius clinic. This year's looked like a lot of fun.

I was not aware of the X being Christ in Greek. Thank you for pointing this out.
Reading your wiki , it said that some churches avoid its use.
