I weigh 95kg.
Wind was approx 40kts.
Riding an old fanatic 76l single fin
5.3 Severne blade
Small black projects fin not sure of re size, I'll have to get.

Ive hit 62 - 64 km/hr each time I've gone out this winter using a different fin each time but all the same specs as above.

Hey George, do you use the Flymount on your boom or do you have some other mount. I've got a Flymount but have yet to use it

Yep. Pretty awesome spot really. I lived here my whole life and last year was the first time I sailed it.

Doesn't look like 40 knots of breeze. Even the trees on the shore are hardly moving and there is a lack of wind waves (or spray off the water).

A 5.3m sail (of any kind) is a real handfull in 40 knots.

How can you tell the trees are hardly moving on whyner's potatovision ? That spot is almost dead flat even in 30-40kts+ as it's only about 30-40cm deep for km's so there is no water depth for waves to build up.

It's a well known speed spot, regularly see speed dudes running 6m+ sails in those wind strengths, it's much easier (relatively) due to how flat it is.

Your right. It was probably only 15-20knots. I wouldn't be able to hold down a 5.3 in any more than that. Are you a detective?
