I had my 2014 Isonic 87 replaced last year under warranty and am now struggling with getting into the rear foot strap. They are alot closer to the rail than the 2014 model and I am finding that when I am really well powered and come out a of a jibe fully panning and get up to speed fast that I am really struggling to get a clean insertion of my foot into the rear strap. If I bear up it helps but this doesn't work when racing and there are sailors above you.
Does anyone have any suggestions ?

Thanks

I'm really surprised................

.......that Starboard honoured a warranty

Sorry , no help on the footstraps although I recall some stories regarding sailors having difficulties with the slick straps in the '15 models.

I'd loosen them a bit so they open up and also adjust the screws so the strap bends inwards. Will make entering your foot easier, and get your foot further inboard.
Re SB Warranty. I just had my 16 107 replaced under warranty with Boardcrazy/SB with no dramas.

You can also burn another hole in the footstrap to locate in further inboard.
Strap positioning is always a compromise between sailor weight, how powered, foot size, fin size, and rig tuning.

I'm just customising my old falcon with extension plates but its to make them closer together fore and aft. It's too big a stretch for me at the moment.

Love your handy work!! Also love that the Fanatic still didn't have enough holes in it. It already looked like Swiss cheese before you added more options. no good if in the wrong spot though.

Maybe like Fanatic claim they test the fin in the board before leaving the factory, I know for a fact that's horse ****.
